Sore eye....Doc or leave it?

My eye has been hurting since about 5pm yesterday, feeling like it has a bit of grit in the corner of it. Nothing I have done seems to be easing it - I have tried various drops/washes etc.

Am I right in resigning myself to the reality of a trip to the eye hospital?

I don't want to go if I can help it, but if its scratched or something I'm guessing i should?

I think you should, yes - it's one of the few things that NHS Direct (should you ever bother using it) is absolute about, as I found out when dd's little friend caught dd's eye with her fingernail (ow).

Thankyou - I went. Whatever was in there is apparantly now out... lots of little scratches though, being aggravated by hayfever.

Glad i went.
