My 11 months DD has now a molar coming through. She has now 9 teeth. She was fine when the others came through but today, she had 2 times diarrhea, was very grumpy, screaming at times, didn't want to sleep during the day, unhappy while eating and eating less than usual, refused her evening milk and her tummy is looking more bloated than usual... so she is very different from usual... could it be because of her molar or should I start thinking to take her to see the GP.

All the GP will tell you is give her regular pain releif - unless of course you think it might be something else. Poor you and her - can't be much fun for either of you right now

sunandmoon - do u use nurofen for babies? i only rate it for teething (calpol never heloped) and in a 24hr period i didnt exceed the dose but at night i might have given 1 and 1/2 times the dose and it helped.

if her tummy is bloated is she constipated?

Medulla · 01/07/2006 20:34

Just read your post properly sunandmoon!

If you think her tummy is bloated then maybe as hermykne suggests she amybe constipated. Nurofen and calpol together are also very effective.

It's so hard when they are that young isn't it! Has she got a fever? My DS same age has had an awful virus which has lingered on and off for over a week now. Hope she gets better soon

Ashton parsons homeopathic powders - the best thing ever. They sell them everywhere. They calmed my two beautiful especially for the molars coming through.

Thank you all very much. DH was working very this morning, and i got in a horrible panic crying with DD, trying to calm her down and gave her 5ml of Medised but she didn't calm down. I know that medised doesn't help her, it usually make her more hyper than anything else!!! But it was the 1st thing I thought of.. I should keep on with Nurofen and will get the homeopathic powder too. She has been constipated but this morning had diarrhea, not watery but soft. She isn't often sick or a crying baby so a bit hard to see her like that
