Help, major shaving probs...am I alone?

Hi all I have major problems when I shave my legs and I am getting really frustrated. Whenever I shave (with good quality razors and foam/oil) I always seem to get a shaving rash and when the hairs start growing back many of them grow beneath the skin which is very itchy and sore. It doesn't matter how careful I am, it always happens, so I can really only shave once a week as it takes my legs that long to recover. I don't have terrible legs apart from my shaving sores and would like to wear skirts as it is so hot, has anyone else had this problem and how did you deal with it. I am thinking about getting my legs waxed, but have heard this can make ingrown hairs worse, any experiences? By the way I have very sensitive skin.

I've started using jonssons baby condition - makes my legs so soft, and has stopped a rash I used to get.hth

I used to be the same. Also with underarms too. I had electrolysis under my arms (very long process and expensive) but means i never have to shave them again, just pluck out the occasional hairs. It was definitely worth it.
As for my legs i have been having them waxed for years now. I do get ingrowing hairs but if you keep your legs moisturised it reduces them and using a loofah daily is supposed to help too.

Using hair conditioner is supposed to be good to avoid shaving rash.

I get it too. Try shaving downwards (in the direction the hairs grow) rather than upwards. It makes a massive difference with me.

using a loofah or an exfoliating glove every day in the bath or shower will make all the difference.
