Eczema & antibiotics??

Does anyone have any experience of ezcema being made worse by antibiotics?

Dd (10 years) has very mild eczema usually kept at bay with aqueous cream and occasional hc. Today its flared up badly on her legs and tops of her arms in small red patches about as big as a thumbnail. I'm at a loss as to whats started it but she is in the middle of a course of anti-b's. Just the usual amoxycillin that she's had before although this is a pretty big dose. No other changes to diet or whatever, any ideas?

Yes - it's the antibiotics being eliminated through her skin. Good idea to get hold of a homeopathic remedy such as sulphur to clear it up, or you could try applying pure starflower iol to the patches.

Thanks Gilli and Robin...she's got an upset stomach now too so pretty sure its the anti-b's....well more the size of the dose I think. Can I get sulphur or starflower over the counter?
