I bleed at the drop of a hat! Mirena related...

And I'm completely sick of it. I've had a Mirena coil for a year now, the erratic bleeding settled down after quite a few months (about 7-8ish). But recently, the past couple of months I've just been bleeding almost constantly, around 4-5 days out of 7. If I stop for a couple of days and DTD with DP it starts again the day after. I'm really fed up with it, it's costing me a fortune :(

Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be?

I should add, it's not heavy either, just a trickle and quite often there is something that can only be described as 'browny sludgy dischargy stuff'. (sorry Blush )

I'm a little reluctant to go to my GP about it. My old one retired last year and I've never met his replacement yet, but my mum has seen her several times and says she's really stand offish and completely disinterested.

No advice other than to see the GP as I was told that if the bleeding doesn't settle you can have a short course of the mini pill to see if that puts your cycle on the right track . I had my Mirena fitted about 6 months ago and have bled ( lightly) more or less constantly since so I can see myself being in the same position as you in a few months .

Ahh ffs, I tried the mini pill before the Mirena, I bled constantly on it for 6 months :o Hmm Same with the Depo jab.
