Ok please tell me if I'm being silly and just looking for something to worry about. BUt my ds (20 months) drinks a lot. We're talking about (in a 24hour period) up to 16 bottles (250mls) and 2 pints out of a glass (5 litres if I've worked it out correctly). Minimum is 10-12 bottles plus one pint out of a glass. I drink up to 4 litres a day but I'm worried that he may be drinking excessively. He wees a lot so its all going through fine and is beginning to be able to control his bladder and can go for up to 2 hours without weeing.

Am I just being silly?

what is he drinking?

ilovecaboose · 28/06/2006 13:05

Very dilute baby fruit juice (about 1 part juice to 9 or 10 parts water). When we first tried to get him onto bottles this is all he would drink and its kindof continued (bad I know). He won't drink milk at all, but he drinks water out of a glass.

Ditch the juice and just give him water maybe??

misdee · 28/06/2006 20:01

what happens if you dont give it to him?

and can you get him onto lidded cups?

ilovecaboose · 28/06/2006 20:05

Think I will try getting rid of the juice and see if it makes nay difference. He won't use sippy cups - they really confuse him, but will drink out of a cup/glass like we do.
