My cervix is on the outside, it can't all hang where it should and no manner of pelvic floor exercises or devises will get it back there.
I'm 41, one fab dd and wanted more but there you are, can't now can I?

This thread, hopefully, will be for those waiting, recovering or supporting

Arse plonked under duvet with cadburys/tea/remote

Very achey tonight. You're right enough about only knowing you've overdone it after you've overdone it. Rest day properly tomorrow

Quick update on cat#2 - admitted to vets hospital this morning with kidney failure. On IV fluids and will recheck bloods in morning. Think it's either cancer or a congenital problem but not looking good

Cremolafoam · 15/11/2013 21:11

Oh fled is that the puss that got knocked down ? Poor kitty. Thanks

fledtoscotland · 15/11/2013 21:14

Cremo - that's the one. Vet thinks that the shock of whatever happened on 5th might have triggered something underlying.

Cremolafoam · 15/11/2013 21:23

Oh fled I'm sorry to hear that. I live in dread of something happening to our kitties too. Hope puss is better tomorrow - and you too obviously- after rest.
Thanks

fledtoscotland · 15/11/2013 21:32

Thanks cremo. Dog #2 is a large German shepherd and is cat #2 best pal. He's been looking for him and seems a bit confused. cat #2 yesterday was asleep in the dog bed and dog #2 sat next to & groomed him. Was v cute to see huge dog licking small ginger cat

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 15/11/2013 22:55

Poor cat Sad . Hope you get some good news tomorrow.

Oddsocksrus · 16/11/2013 15:41

Hallo all,
It's very quiet on here today I hope all of you, and the poor kitty are ok?

fledtoscotland · 16/11/2013 17:06

Evening all. Update on cat: still an inpatient as they are trying to flush his kidneys in an effort to restart them (?). Am £300 to date poorer ConfusedConfused

As for me, v sore tonight. Tried to grab my old collie this morning as he was barking and I've pulled my L side which is v tender and throbbing. It's like a knitting needle pain inside iykwim.

spudmama · 16/11/2013 19:18

Oh fled thatsnot good news for you or your cat.

I had a good day today beautiful weather so was outside for a few hours gentle walking and lots of sitting watching ds1 on his bike, then had a nap this afternoon. Tummy is still sore and can't imagine when i will be able to wear jeans again Sad

Hows everyone else?

Waitingaround · 16/11/2013 19:38

Hope your car gets better quick fled and doesn't cost too much.
Glad you had a good day spud and know what you mean about jeans-I do have a couple that I can wear but they are my 'big girl jeans' as I call them.
I went out with friends last night and had 1 glass of wine however I apparently can't cope with alcohol anymore as I was sick! Been feeling yuck all day as a result...

Cremolafoam · 16/11/2013 20:37

I'm here. Hello. Having a bad day.
Staying quiet and where other people are not. Sad

Fled sorry. Poor cat.
Waiting oh dear about being sick.
Couldn't face a pint if you paid me good money ATM.

Cold isn't it?

Waitingaround · 16/11/2013 20:43

Bloody freezing crem and gonna get colder. How's the infection? Crappy I guess. Really hope you feel better soon Thanks
And at the mo I am never drinking again!

Cremolafoam · 16/11/2013 20:57

spudmama · 18/11/2013 12:43

Happy monday everyone, peace and quiet in the house again bliss.

Rest day today did a bit to much over the weekend, dh seems to be getting more stressed so i iam trying to help out a bit more but then up having to have a lie down then he shouts at me and gets more stressed cant win Sad.

Hows was everones else's weekend?

shewhowines · 18/11/2013 12:57

Hi all, how is everyone today? And fled how's the kitty?

Overcome don't wait and ignore it, get yourself to the doctor. You shouldn't be bleeding!

Letsface, I remember dragging pains at weeks 5 or 6 and thinking recovery had halted, but the next week was much better.

Crem, don't let them fob you off. Make a nuisance of yourself until they get you sorted.

Waiting, you need to get help for your alcohol problem. That's not good Grin

Spud, I haven't attempted the jeans yet, although I'm sure I probably could

Coco nice to see you back

Odds and kingfisher, next week is getting closer. Hope you're not worrying too much. It will soon be over.

I had a lovely weekend. It was lovely to be normal again and do completely normal things. Th christmas market was great and really big. I'm shattered today though and just vegging in front of the tv.

Come on everyone, this needs to be the week where everyone's feeling better.

Just back from the gp. Been really sore this weekend. Gp normally lovely but told me it was similar to having a csection and I should "bounce back" within 6 wks. I cried. She's taken bloods and given me more cocodamol and I've gone back to bed.

Re cat #2. He's still in hospital awaiting vet to phone us but we can't afford to continue this level of treatment. It's £400 to date which will have to go on what's left of the credit card and make a decision from here. Vets trying everything but he's still unwell and we need to know if realistically there will be improvement or are we just trying options.

Haven't told DC he's unwell as he's ds2's cat.

shewhowines · 18/11/2013 13:27

A week tomorrow? Nightmare, it's bad enough under normal circumstances. Will a friend or neighbour do a few loads for you? I've done other people's washing for them in the past. I'm sure they won't mind especially if they know you've been ill.

Glad the bleedings stopped. I'd have been knocking at the doctors door at the first sign of bleeding, especially after hearing about waiting's pelvic infection.

shewhowines · 18/11/2013 13:33

Fled - my recovery has been very straight forward and I can tell that gp of yours, that you categorically do not bounce back after 6 weeks Shock Shock Shock . If you are lucky, you are just beginning to know what normal feels like, for some of the time.

Sad about the cat. I hope the vet says he's going to be ok, but yes it's better to be cruel to be kind, if there's not much hope realistically. Thanks

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 18/11/2013 13:47

Fled your GP is just plain wrong about it being like a c-section. There's a lot of repair work goes on. If you go back to work before you're properly ready, you'll be off again and your recovery will be set back further.

My GP said 8 weeks when she examined me on Friday, which means 2 weeks more than I originally thought. It means I can't drive (phoned car insurance this morning to check) and HR - who said not to return to work AT ALL against medical advice. I thought I could kind of ease back starting at 6 weeks.

She is right. At 5-6 weeks some days are absolutely fine and others are not. It's very frustrating to see good and steady progress early on then just when you think it'll all be sorted, there's an on-off plateau.

Fingers crossed for your cat too, bless him.

shewhowines · 18/11/2013 14:02

Lets face. I meant to address this issue of "downstairs activity". You are a braver woman than me. I saw my wounds on an internal camera at 6 weeks, when I had my oncologist appointment. DH is not going anywhere near that department for quite a while Grin mind you I think i had a fair bit of the top of my vagina cut away because of the cancer, so it might not be quite as bad for a normal hysterectomy at 6 weeks. For you, it is still early days, so hopefully it will feel more like it used to, in time. I hadn't really considered it would feel different. Is there any reason it should?

Cremolafoam · 18/11/2013 14:04

Am very sad about the cat fled.
But you're right, the expense is horrendous especially if you know deep down the poor creature is in pain. I've been in your situation with a cat more than once and it's a heart rending decision. Poor wee ds too.

I am in the queue to see the nurse.
My sister in the meantime has intervened having looked at my tum yesterday. She's trying to get me referred to a wound specialist at the hospital. She is all brimstone and fire about it. I am letting her OMB because I have frankly lost the will.
Anti biotics have stollen all my verve.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 18/11/2013 14:13

I'm really glad you've got someone there fighting your corner Crem. It does seem awful that they've let it go on for so long.

Go Crem's sister GrinGrinGrin Thanks

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 18/11/2013 14:16

She I think it depends whether you were aware of your womb contracting. I've discovered - too late - that the lovely warm luxurious spreading feelings during and post orgasm no longer exist. It's like a big gap in my orgasm where the womb/fibroid used to be. Everything is focused in the pelvic floor region now. Sad

shewhowines · 18/11/2013 14:22

Ooh I hope not Sad Will be a while before I know though. Still none of has chosen to do this for fun, so it's not like we had any choice Sad
