Weight gain with antidepressant citalopram

I'm 5.4ft and for the last 3yrs have weighed from 8.5 stone to 8.10 stone.

I went onto to ad in March this year and now weigh 9.2 stone.

I know this may not seem much to some of you but I'm struggling to get my clothes on etc.
Have I just been overheating or has anyone else on citalopram gained weight which they thought was connected to the ad's
Thanks

Yep its the tablets. They did double that to me in 5 months.

Sunshine, did you then go onto a different one? I'm wondering if I should go to the gps and see what else I can have.

I put a stone on in 4 months in them.

I piled on loads of weight (about 2.5 stone) and only lost a year after I stopped the citalopram :(

It's a bummer as it's my AD of choice, but I've got such a small frame that the weight gain looked awful.

I am about to start a diet whilst on Citalopram. I am not too hopeful, but I need to have a go.

The GP said that it interferes with your feeling full response, and that's true for me.

I am worried it has knackered my metabolism.
