Sacropolpopexy - anyone had the op?

Was told on Monday that I need this horrible op. Scared stiff about it as I already have 2 knackered discs in my spine and it's 6 months of lifting no more than 5kgs. I'm always on the go and was wondering how recovery was for anyone that has had this op. Apparently it's not very common. I'm only 46!

Its not very common, and no, I haven't had it but am in the position that if I said go ahead, they would do it. I am too afraid of mesh rejection, erosion, feeling worse after surgery than I already do now - and I have already had major repair surgery done 12 years ago. I am 42 now.

Are there any other options? Not to minimise your experience as I know all too well how awful it is...
