Hi i gave birth nearly 4 weeks ago. Normal delivery and only a graze so no stitches and midwives said i was lost ans was losing miniumalamount of blood. Few days after i was in alot of pain and was told i had a infection in my womb so had antiboitics. Up unti now blood loss was hardly anything but still sore and blood still smells tmi i know- but jusr woke up to feed my boy and got lots of gooey blood loss and a clot the size of a golf ball and can feel more coming out. Midwife at l and d said my placenta was intact so i shouldnt of had any probs. Got app for dr in afew days. Is this normal as when i had my 2yr i only bleed for 3weeks and had nothing like this. Any info grately appreciated :)

I think if I were you I'd sit with raised legs as much as possible and give the labour ward where you had DS a call, see what they advise.

Congratulations btw, and hope everything is ok for you

Agree, give them a ring. Hoe you're ok.

I had retained placenta 3 weeks after the birth. & was told placenta was intact. I started getting blood clots which we're brown & smelly then started losing massive clots & bleeding.
Best to get checked out.

Either get an urgent GP appt or go to a&e. You will probably wait less if you get a ref fro your GP, though. Even a small fragment of membrane left behind can cause infection and it can be serious. Given that you've already had antibiotics from your GP I'd say you need a gyne review.

Doesn't sound like a period so get it checked ASAP.
