Wart advice wanted please!

dd1 has a collection of warts on her finger, almost on her second knuckle, which are red and sore-looking and they hurt when she knocks them. Dh mentioned it to the GP when he was there, and the GP said to leave them unless she was really bothered by them, as they tend to just burn them off which is equally sore. But is there anything I can do to alleviate the soreness whilst they are there (or natural remedy for them)?

Miaou - totally sympathise with your dd, I was plagued with warts as a kid. My granny used to buy them off me at 20p per wart. Bizarrely enough it really worked. She'd give me three weeks - in order for the wart to clear - and then the 20p would be mine. She did it one wart at a time and honest to God it worked every time. Within a few months I was wart free. Strange but true. Do you have anyone suitably mysterious who could perform the same service? Though I would reckon that a pound per wart is more like the going rate now.

If you doubt the power of grannies, then you could always try Compound W - or whatever the contemporary equivalent is. Good luck

Just looking to treat the soreness really, not try and get rid of them.
