I'm usually like clockwork with my periods (give or take a day or two) I am as of today 10 days late. I'm in terrible pain in my uterus (not like period pains) I'm feeling nauseous and tired and experiencing back pains.
I don't think I have felt this terrible in a long time.
Will book an appointment later I think (although I dread the dr's)
Any ideas?

Could it be you missed a period for whatever reason and have slipped into your next ovulation? My occupation makes me feel terrible and I have a stabbing pain on one side. Failing that, give it a few more days and POAS? Grin

Occupation? Ovulation! Bloody phone! Sorry.

Pandorassox · 20/09/2013 14:19

I'm hoping it is just a missed period but I'm in awful pain today, have not moved from the sofa. I was worried it could be a cyst or something.

If you're usually regular, your ovulation should be easy to predict. I have one day a month where I can't move because the stabbing pain. Sad This has been a recent change, so I was thinking if it does it this month I might see the GP. You could wait and see if it is the same for your next ovulation, but obviously if you're worried, then have a chat to your GP. I hope you get it sorted. I'm fairly sure it's not menopause, as I'm only 35! Smile

I'd see GP asap to rule out ectopic pregnancy.

Pandorassox · 20/09/2013 16:54

digerd do ectopic pregnancies show as positives on tests? I have taken lots of tests and all are negative so far.

I am pretty sure ectopics show as positives on pregnancy tests (they did with the old blood tests 20 years ago). But I would see doc asap to make sure.

cedar12 · 20/09/2013 17:14

Get yourself checked out. I have had 3 ectopic pg, 1st and 3rd showed on a test 2nd one didn't until i was very late.

Pandorassox · 20/09/2013 20:42

cedar hope you don't mind me asking but what symptoms did you have with your ectopic pregnancies?

OP posts:
digerd · 21/09/2013 07:05

That is the question I do not know. It is possible, but many women have had negatives in normal pregnancies in the early testing stages.

Pain on one side of the uterus and nausia are the main symptoms.

digerd · 21/09/2013 07:07

The pain is at the side of the uterus in one of the Fallopion tubes

digerd · 21/09/2013 07:07

fallopian

digerd · 21/09/2013 17:17

How are you feeling now OP?

Pandorassox · 21/09/2013 18:05

digerd the pain has subsided a bit in the last 3 hours as I have taken a paracetamol, still feeling tired and emotional and a few niggling pains in womb. I'm going to have a nice warm bath in a short while and hope I am better tomorrow. Will pay the dr a visit on Monday as still no period.

Thank you for asking Thanks
