I have musculoskeletal pain - what is wrong with me?

During pregnancy I had either SPD or sciatica or both but it was awful! It settled after the DC were born but I now had persistent pain in a few areas and I have just assumed it's related to that but what if it isn't.

I have quite bad heel pain, just on one heel. It quite sharp but consistent. I have knee pain on some day where it feels like it'll give way. My legs are often sore, especially now I'm walking more & I can't lie in bed if I'm not sleeping anymore as my legs hurt... is this something? Sciatica still? Do some people just have pain with no underlying condition? My doctor ignores me unless I insist on something over at least 4 appointments.

I take codeine A LOT and I probably shouldn't but it works...

I also had both spd and sciatica during pregnancy.

I'd definitely go back to the gp again. muscle pain can be a side effect of codeine also.

maybe ask for another painkiller. a tolerance can be easily built up with codeine and more will be needed to get same results. I speak from experience with that.

hope you're better soon.

I only take codeine when I have the it isn't caused by pain so I know it isn't caused by that. I know about the tolerance too, I had to ask for something different when I had an op because I knew they wouldn't be able to give me enough for that kind of pain Blush

The pain kept me up last night until I took more painkillers. I had to lie on DS1's floor & was in agony after. I also have some tingling in my feet...?

I will go back but can't get an appointment until next week.

Maybe Fibromyalgia? Google has some good info on it.

Groovee · 20/09/2013 10:22
