Anyone tried Cerazette?

Have just started taking Cerazette (sp?) a progesterone only pill after the birth of dd and was wondering if anyone had any experience of it?

Have 2 friends who have taken it; one bled non-stop for 11 weeks so no longer takes it and the other hasn't had a period for over a year so loves it.

Any other experiences?

I tried it and hated it as I bled constantly for 3 months
went back to trinordiol which suits me fine

Like FrenchGirl, I bled constantly on it, too.

I also developed huge cystic acne, had no libido and mood swings on it.

My experience of cerazette is not good either. Had major hot flushes and bled for 5 weeks. Decided to wait til i finished bf then went back to normal pill. Was too knackered to get pg anyway!

I am fine on it, though convinced it isn't helping me shift baby weight. Took it before I was pregnant too. Tried Micronor but hated it. Not bled but still bf. Before pregnant i bled very very lightly every 5 weeks or so.

Thanks for responses ladies, guess I will just have to wait and see how I fair on it. Have had problems with my skin before so I'm wary and absolutely refuse to put up with prolonged bleeding.

I didn't like it - I put on weight which was very hard to shift. Swapped to Femulen which is fine so far. Both seem to stop any bleeding though!

my skin was dire, la! i mean, so bad, i've been referred to a dermatologist and probably have permanent scarring on my chest.

they kept telling me it would 'settle'. yeah, so will krakatowa. NOT.

the bleeding.

yeah, it was really effective birth control, bleed nonstop, lose your libido and have your chest and shoulders look like a relief map.
