RINGWORM?

My DD has ringworm under her nappy area (not an actual worm, just a skin condition, I'm told). Anyway, the pharmacist says she probably picked it up from the cat... Does this mean the cat needs treating for ringworm? My DD has been given cream.

Would get your cat checked out in any event in case the animal has ringworm. If it does it needs treating. Ringworm in cats can particularly occur around the ears and or claws amongst other sites. You are correct - ringworm is a fungal infection and has nothing to do with worms.

If you google "ringworm and cats" it will give you lots of information.
