Hi before i start il say sorry for too much info.
Basically for the last 2 and a half years iv been suffering for excrutiating pain during sex.the only way i can describe it is it feels like there is some thing inside me that the penis is hitting and this causes awful pain. Also have some bleeding after sex. My doctor referred me to see a gyno i had swabs taken for sti's and other infections. These also came back negative. They wouldnt do a smear test as i was only 24 at the time (im in the U.K) the gyno said my only other option would be to have keyhole surgery. I turned this down as i thought it was a bit extreme. I also have heavy periods.back and tummy pain and i constantly feel tired. I had my first smear test a couple of weeks ago (im now 25) and the results came back showing i hadve high grade dyskaryosis or also known as CIN III. Im booked in to have a colposcopy, biopsy and LLETZ treatment . Im over thinking and thinking maybe if i had the surgery that was offered to me last i wouldnt be in this situation now. Iv been on the depot injection for 2 years. This does sound really extreme but i would rather a hysterectomy than to keep going through this i already have one child and i do NOT want any more. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you xx

What you are describing initially could well be endometriosis; this is a common cause of deep pain during sex. It can also cause heavy periods to arise, the tiredness may be due to anaemia.

CIN3 is not cancer of the cervix, but it is important to treat CIN3 as soon as possible. If left untreated, these abnormal cells sometimes go on to develop into cancer of the cervix. CIN3 may be referred to as severe dyskaryosis or severe dysplasia. Less commonly, it is called carcinoma-in-situ, though this term is rarely used these days.

CIN1, 2 and 3 rarely cause any symptoms, such as pain, discharge or bleeding.

Who is going to carry out the colposcopy?.

You need to see a gynaecologist urgently and as a matter of course, you should not put up with being in such pain.

Hi attila
Thank u for replying. My colposcopy will be done at my local hospital. My biopsy and Loop/LLETZ treatment will all be the same day. I still suffer from pain during sex now and some times its basically impossible.im booked in for all these on the 23rd of this month. Since receiving my appointment it will be a 3 weeks wait for me. So as u can imagine when my DD is in bed and im on my own its all i can think about. U are right in regards to endometriosis. They wanted me to have key hole surgery to check for endometriosis. I refused as i got a letter from the hospital from the consultant from the notes she made from our appointment together. She stated that i was insisting on this operation (which i wasnt) i told consultant i would only have operation if it was absolutly necessary. I guess through my stubborness i didnt take the op as i didnt want them/nhs/hospital to think i was being pushy.
Xx
