Spots/ulcers on tongue - both kids. Ideas?

DS (almost 5) & DD (18months) have both had colds and mildly upset stomachs over the past 2 weeks.

At the weekend I noticed dd had a couple of tiny blister/ulcer type spots on the tip of her tongue but they are gone now.

Yesterday ds said his tongue hurt & I could see a couple of spots. Today his tongue is covered in the spots & he says it hurts.

The spots look yellowish & like they are fluid filled - like a tiny blister. Looks like the kind I get ocassionally when run down but I only ever had the odd one or two. His tongue is covered.

Ideas please for cause or cure??

Thanks for your concern all of you. It's really appreciated.

DD had a restless night & got really upset at about 5am - I tihnk just overtired though. She's been fine at nursery. No spots on her anywhere.

Looked at DS's tongue this morning and it is as if the blisters have all popped & it just looked like flat red spots now - as if it has peaked yesterday & getting better now. He's also complaining about it alot less (only once in fact.) No spots anywhere else except he has a couple of tiny pimples on his chin now.

So, none the wiser as to what it is/was but looks like getting better.

How's your dd tortoise?
