they advise me to have it taken out so they can see exactly what it is..nothing showed up on scan, nor in cells which were taken.
i have a small red 'spot' which looks like(ACORDING TO MY GP) A BLOOD blister, the lump can be moved slightly and consultant says this is good.
he's given me 4 weeks and said if i do have the op, i am at risk of losing lots of blood due to where they have to operate, increased risk of infection due to position?, and may be left with mis shapen breast..i know i sound stupid and would kick myself if anything did come of it and i didnt act, but am confused over best thing to do

((Evesmama)) no wonder you're stressed. I still have a mini bald patch brought on by stress when I was 14, I'm really sorry you're being affected to this extent.

Wishing you loads of luck with the house move as well as the appointment, and yeay for the kebabs: things like that count during times of stress (and times of non-stress, for that matter!).

xxx ps why can't they knock you out?!

EvesMama · 25/06/2006 20:07

i cant remember why??..he did say tho?..ill have to ask tomorrow when i try and speak to someone at unit..prob to do with bed spaces and the fact they want me in and out within day!?

hello again
couple of people asked how I am: fine thanks! Have finshed chemo and radiotherapy, started herceptin on 30 May. all going well. just delighted to be back to some kind of normal. been to turkey for a week on my own (bliss!) for a bit of R&R and sunshine. most recent appointment with consultant revealed that if they can get me to two years without a reoccurence, then more unlikely to return, so just willing the time away. also, possibility that might be able to have another child later, which I thought was completely off the cards. so all good.

Best of luck to you today EvesMama and thank you so much for the update Lalaa. It is good to hear from you that all is good right now

have only seen this now evesmama

about 15 years ago, I got a raised red spot on my breast - it was quite wide, maybe about an inch and it was reddy pink colour and lumpy

I was in SA then and the doctor took it out the next week - I had a local and they did it in the GP's surgery. Tbh, they made it all much more clear cut and told me I was having it out (like it or not) and because of their attitude, I didn't really question it or think about it much!

Whatever happens, good luck. Sometimes I think when given loads of options, it can make things more complicated! Hope it all goes OK.
