yes - I'll try to do photos - the delivery man hasn't come yet, but we have taken the old table out - old lady dog is wandering round the empty kitchen looking very confused Grin

Good for you Mom Smile and good luck with the wig shopping - maybe you can get something very like your new hairdo.

malt - good on you for getting out and about too, - it's all about taking the opportunity to enjoy yourself when you are feeling OK IMO.

Betsy - Hmm at well meaning messages - it does start to grate after a bit - my BCN used to advise patients to avoid magazines and telly news for october as would all be in your face BC stuff, I know it raises awareness, but when you are going through treatment, you don't want it rammed down your throat every five minutes!

kitkat1967 · 21/09/2013 17:54

ha Malt - I remember back to the days when you were too worried to go anywhere and were taking your temperature several times a day - oh how things have changed!! Good on you Smile.

MaryAnnSingleton · 21/09/2013 18:29

yes malt ! you are so relaxed now- it's fab.
Did I post the R4 slanket pics ever ? am sure I did...
I have several blankets which IO drape over myself most evenings now it's chillier.
Just had date and walnut cake and we're having baked fish for supper which I love...
kk I always get quite excited by buying knickers and bras !
Looking forward to seeing table and chairs.
gig is big gig doing French at school ? I used to take T to La Jolie Ronde -nice woman called Mme Hubacher in Twick..nr Kneller Hall- he loved it (and spoke pretty good French as a little one but now completely forgotten !)

Gigondas · 21/09/2013 18:51

I know malt- look at you now SmileSmileSmile it's so good to see.

No do post the pics mas - I am Envy of cake tho need to wind in my appetite for that before my steroid induced food baby gets to full term.

I thought Barney was bad but big gig discovered Care Bears on netflix. It's film emetic I am telling you.

My table has come - pic on FB Smile

foofooyeah · 21/09/2013 19:43

I am feeling a bit left out as want to see FBI pics. Loving my new ipad and its auto corrects, this should of course say FB.

Have sent request to tax ten group, could someone please add me. My first name is also a boys name, and my surname is a county

foofooyeah · 21/09/2013 19:46

Gigs, Care Bears sounds like hell on earth. Fortunately boy child old enough to enjoy The Great Escape now

kitkat1967 · 21/09/2013 19:46

Just seen the pics - great table and chairs.

Not nearly as exciting but I bought new cutlery today Hmm and have just ordered some PJs.

Before my last Op I couldn't find any summery PJs with button fastening tops but just found some so ordered 2 pairs (hospital is sooooo hot only summer wear will do). I am hoping to avoid Rads and get next Op soon after end of chemo but even if I don't I will still need them for Op next summer.

KurriKurri · 21/09/2013 19:48

foofoo - I'll PM you my real name - send me a friend request and you can see my table in all its glory Grin

I think you have to be added to the group by MAS - am sure she'll be along in a minute to sort it out Smile

kitkat1967 · 21/09/2013 19:50

My boys (DH and DS) are sat watching Rocky 3!! DD somewhere else glued to her iPad mini as usual Angry.

KurriKurri · 21/09/2013 19:54

Are the Care Bears still going? - my DD used to like them - they were a very annoying bunch!
Kitkat - new cutlery is a nice thing to get Smile - I need a new set -somehow over the years my forks have gradually disappeared, and I never seem to have enough Confused

My PJ's are wintery ones - I was cold in bed last week! I saw some nice onesies too, but I'm not sure the world is ready for me in a onesie Grin

kitkat1967 · 21/09/2013 19:59

KK - DS and DD have just gone back into their onsies - they are very excited that there are lots back in the shops - will def be getting them one each for Xmas but don't think DH and I will be getting them!!
We needed new cutlery as the old set had worn a lot in the dishwasher and lots of the knife handles were loose leading to lots of moaning at meal times. Last weekend I finally got the DCs to give up their plastic cups (we were using glasses at mealtimes but for some reason at other times they insited that plastic woudl be safer!!) and got some inexpensive but very funky coloured glasses from John Lewis that we are very pleased with.

foofooyeah · 21/09/2013 20:00

Found you KK, love the table but love your dog more. Sent you a friend request in case you wonder who the random is.

I had radio on part of my pelvis ( left side) and was warned about making hip born more brittle but not about hrt. Yes the odd bikini effect is most odd.

MaryAnnSingleton · 21/09/2013 21:47

foofoo send me a pm and I'll add you to tamoxifen 10 (with your rl name !)

trice · 21/09/2013 21:49

I have managed to catch a cold. It had better be gone by next week - I'm going to Yarndale! I am doing a textures workshop with my lovely friend. I will not buy wool though as my stash is monstrous. (Well, maybe a little bit of laceweight silk blend if they have nice colourway.)

This week I have knitted a hat, a cowl and half a sock. Being stuck in the house is doing wonders for my productivity!

I now need to knit a pesky rat costume for book day.

I remember MAS said to me you can still have fun on chemo and I didn't really believe it ( sorry ! )
Hope everyone's having a nice evening x

BetsyBoop · 22/09/2013 06:07

Morning malt (just seen you on fb!) passes Brew

Yes it's good to see you out gallavanting - make the most of this next week in case tax gives you a bit of a whack, although fingers crossed you'll sail through that too :)

malteserzz · 22/09/2013 06:11

Morning Betsy, dh woke up with tummy ache and has moved into the spare room that's why I'm awake!
Is tax similar to fec in that you get a few ok days before it hits, got dhs brother and wife staying Friday night and his mum and dad Saturday night and wondered if I'd be ok

BetsyBoop · 22/09/2013 06:28

I've felt relatively normal on tax on Fri/Sat both times, just a bit tired from steroid insomnia (so a couple of nana naps!) So I reckon you should be fine.

Woke with achy knees this morning ( which is how it started last time , had dodgy knees for years so no surprise it starts there first!) and if same as last time will gradually get worse as day progresses, Mon and Tues were my worst days last time. You are made of sterner stuff than me though!
