Oh poor you, how did it happen? Can you take something for the pain, put a cold flannel on it maybe? I've never broken my nose, but came near once and it really is painful.

My ds (2) fell onto the bridge of my nose!!
Im on tablets all day, and doing the ice pack to try to keep the swelling down. Cant believe how much it hurts!!

depends on the severity of the break. I broke mine but was onbly minor and was fine in a couple of weeks...had a lovely bruised face for a while tho!

The sound of the crack was pritty loud!
Nurse knew straight away it was broken! She "thinks" that i need an op!

when you go to bed tonight make sure that you are sleeping upright and that should help pain and swelling.

Ow! Prepare yourself for a new look over the next few days, as your nose swells and you develop stunning black eyes. You'll have to wait until your ds has children before you get your own back on him!

It will need surgery if it's wonky. I broke mine when I was 17 playing hockey, and it was very crooked.

The first 24 hrs after the accident it hurt a lot, then it was OK ...
But after having the op to have it straightened the pain was far worse (for about a week): Sorry! Hope yours gets the all clear on Monday.

I broke mine in a car accident and was told they would wait ti;ll the swelling went down then see if it needed treatment - fortunately, it healed straight so i didnt need anything doing. it took about 3 weeks for the swelling to go down then the black eyes to heal - i wish i'd known to take arnica and stuff then.

good luck!
