Have been bitten about 5 times on arms and legs.
One on the top of my arm started as a typical bite but has now expanded to approx 7.5 cm's across which is raised and soooooo itchy?
do you think it needs looking at by a doctor ( i have immune system problems) and what should i put on it.
There is no broken skin, pus or anything just big and red

ooh it's horrible isn't it?

I react very badly to certain bites/stings - horseflies in particular - in the way you describe. It eventually calms down and goes away; have never taken a bite to a GP though. See how it is in the morning.

I take oral antihistamines as the topical stuff just doesn't sort out my insect bites.

I find oral Piriton, the once a day tablet, is the best for me.

Yours sound just like mine....horrid.

Given you have immune system probelsms it might be best to check it out with the GP before you take anything.

If it starts to spead quickly contact a GP asap, this happened to me once and I had cellulitis....whic can be rather nasty

i have cetirizine tablets daily. Topical stuff is poo! will see how it is in the morning thanks for help MB

That is what happened to me. I always react badly, but one time is was much worse....scary in fact.

Hope you feel better soon.
