Does this sound like gallstones??

Every 4-5 weeks DH gets ill. It starts with indigestiony type pain and becomes more and more intense the pain moving all around from his front to back. He finds it impossible to find a comfortable position. Sometimes vomits, lasts for about 8 hours. He also itches a few days before. And says he feels indigestiony a few days prior? Could this be a gallstone blockage? If not any one any ideas?

I would strongly suggest an upper abdo scan, just to rule out any pancreas trouble

Thanks. He has had a camera down and all was clear just waiting for ultra sound appoint.

I think itching can sometimes indicate liver problems, or problems with the pancreas. Both can give abdo pain and nausea, but so can lots of other things.Really it could be a hundred different things, and so it's best to try not to worry too much about it until all the results are through, then you can get on with sorting it out.
