How many of us are at home with chicken poxed kids today?

My DS has it, as do lots of friend's kids, seems there is some kind of epidemic at the moment

I know and we are going on holiday in 10 days and I am convinced dd is about to go down with it as it is all over the place

we are on day 6 here, spots disappearing thank goodness and i have decided that dd1 is going back to playgroup tomorrow

i have emptied the local newsagent of colouring books and stickers!

i am waiting for dd2's spots to appear, anytime in the next 7 days i suspect...

is it possible to be immune do you think? Dd has had so much exposure to the pox and I had shingles when she was 1, how can she not have caught it?

CD, my neighbours wee girl has avoided CP in 3 different outbreaks...

CountessD, we're due to go on holiday on the 2nd. 4 kids in dd1s room at nursery have it and 1 in dd2s. I'm convinced I'm going to have to cancel our holiday .

Belo, fingers crossed for you and CD taht you do not have to cancel. Have you got travel insurance, if not get some now, as they will cover the cost of your holiday, as you cannot travel. I know this as a friend had to cancel a trip abroad last week! you need docs certificate

Thanks Melrose. dd1 has got 4 spots! That means she will be ok to fly a week on Sunday. dd2 will probably get it though next week .
