Getting sick and fed up of my local nhs

For six months I have been having trouble down stairs (green discharge) and finally after four months I got referred for a colposcopy, phoned up for my results yesterday as I got told by my doctors surgery that I could get my results over the phone if they were ready. They were but the doctor I spoke to said she couldn't discuss my results over the phone. I said to her that I was me but she said that wasn't the problem. All she said was "there is nothing to worry about" now I am a hyperchondriac and when they first took my biopsies and told me it looked like I had a CIN 2 with possibility of hpv I worried of course. Now even if there is nothing to worry about, nobody has actually found what is causing the green discharge as every test I have had done has come back fine. Has anyone ever had anything like this because I have been told green discharge is sometimes normal. I somehow don't think it is normal with what they found.

First of all, they are not allowed to discuss any kind of result, if they've found something, over the phone unless there is a reason you couldn't get to the hospital in exceptional circumstances.

It sounds as if they are trying to find out what is wrong, as you've said, you've had tests that have come back fine. So they are investigating further, hence the colposcopy.

It's quite reassuring that she said it's nothing to worry too much over.

Your next step is to book that appointment to get the results. Then any concerns or questions you have, ask the consultant/Doctor.

If there is still no explanation as to why you're still experiencing these symptoms, you need to ask what investigations they will do next.

Good luck Flowers
