I've found this lump. Is it possible to be able to feel your own gall bladder?

Is a bit painful/uncomfortable but that could be from the poking. I have had some discomfort onand off inthis area for a few years if I'mhonestand did wonder about gallbladder as my Grandma and sisterboth have had theirs removed. It does run in families. Also the saying fair fat and forty-I was 40 this year, am blonde and fat!

Please tell me I'm not dying :-(

Go to GP and he should have an idea what it could be and put your mind at rest or go for further investigations. Mention your GM and sis.
Good luck.

ps. If it were serious you would most likely have lost lots of weight. You are definitely not at death's door Smile

I don't think you are dying. My non expert guess is some sort of hernia.

Go to the doctor.

thank you both, could be a hernia I thought it was too large but looking at some photos online, well wow they can be HUGE!

I'll let you know what the doc says.

my gp thinks its not liver or gall bladder (phew) but maybe muscular, got to keep an eye on it and go back if it gets bigger, I asked about hernia she said it could be in the early stages but probably not.

Ohhh that's interesting. I can only feel lump when standing up it dissappears when sitting and lying. It's not massively painful either more just uncomfortable. Thanks for your post. I'll bear it in mind.
