Name changed as embarressed that I'm such a sweaty betty Blush.

In this warm weather I find my back gets really, really sweaty. So much so that I have to try and choose clothes that won't show the wet patches.

I don't have to be doing anything particularly physical for it to happen either. It just trickles down my back.

Armpits aren't as bad strangely enough but other areas crotch get really sweaty too.

Can I do anything about this? Could it be my age (mid-40s) ?

I get this when I'm carrying my ds on my back what I found works best is a solid deodorant stick. Dove do one.

ClunkyJaw · 30/08/2013 20:29

I'd have to slap it on over a huge area though.
Would that not be bad for me?

If its suddenly started then it sounds like a hot flush type thing.

Maybe try growing some back hair?
I have a naturally pretty hairy back. I find when I have it waxed it gets uncomfortably sweaty, but when its hairy it's much more comfortable.

lol at growing some back hair Grin.

Hmm Sweaty or hairy? What a choice.

Brettgirl - its not a sudden thing. Its probably been a gradual thing over years? Always tended to be a bit sweaty, the sort of person that goes red faced, hot and sweaty when exercising for example.

I kind of draw a stripe down my spine and that seems enough for me.

I'm very sweaty always boiling hot even in the winter, this summer has been a nightmare for me my face is scarlet and pouring with sweat I'm going to ask in the health food shop tomorrow if there is anything I can take

Do come back and let us know if they recommend anything, please.

Try witch hazel honestly it's fabby just wipe it on with a cotton wool twice a daySmile can be used anywhere, I only read up a couple of days ago and started straight away and it's brilliant Grin

ClunkyJaw · 31/08/2013 12:46

Oh wow, that sounds really simple and hopefully effective. Thank you.

Does it stop you sweating or just reduce it?

Where have you been using it, is it your back too?

It stops sweating completely I use face neck chest and bottom of back, today I dried my hair after I had applied it and I did have to reapply to my face but still reduced it dramatically Smile and it's gentle too!

Went in health food shop and she told me to take sage tablets, I do hope they work
