Tonight every time I stand up I either faint or feel very lightheaded

I've always been a dainty kind of person. After a hot bath or if I stand up too fast, also if I forget to eat or overheat. But it's never gone on this long. Has anyone else ever had this?

Sounds like your BP is very low. Lie down. See the Gp tomorrow! HAve you any other symptoms?

MyCatIsAStupidBastard · 30/08/2013 19:50

I had this recently, was so bad i went to the doctors who told me it was stress and i needed to relax (if you come round, look after the DC, tidy up, do the shopping, do the washing, do the ironing, oh and do my full time pressured job, i just might, helpful Dr!!)

It did go off but i decided to take so Metatone tonic and a free early nights. Maybe you need the same?

Could possibly be labrynthitis which you can get treated for. If it is still there after a night sleep i suggest the Dr.

I am lying down. My sinuses feel a bit odd but no other symptoms. I will go to gp but it'll be Monday now. I've been once before and he shrugged it off and said I just faint a lot.

Might be worth trying a decongestant? Hope you feel better soon.

Low bp, sounds like.

WhoNickedMyName · 30/08/2013 20:55

You've either got low blood pressure or anaemia.

MrsShrek3 · 30/08/2013 23:02

I have low bp bit it only causes dizziness if I get up too fast. However, it was much worse when I had anaemia. could you?
DH had a crazy middle ear condition last year which caused sickness and dizziness so bad he couldn't keep his balance. get to gp asap. Smile

Google POTS.

lljkk · 31/08/2013 17:16

low blood sugar for me, I find it easy to not bother to eat.

2kidsintow · 31/08/2013 19:28

I was going to suggest POTs too. My friend has it and it sounds very familiar.

Low BP + anaemia here too

openerofjars · 31/08/2013 20:30

I've got this and I wonder if it's a virus as DH is also shattered and baby DD has had a mystery rash and been napping for England this week.

Labryinthitis is a bugger to deal with ! Iv had it a few times but I do think ur symptoms seem to have more to do with with low bp ! Just as it may help if the room appears to spin and u get nausea that mite be labrynithitis
