Do I have to take antibiotics on an empty stomach?

Have three infected insect bites and prescribed 4 antibiotics a day on an empty stomach. If I take some of them when I've eaten will they not work?

Food can effect how much of certain drugs are absorbed, so you potentially will get an insufficient dose. Take them either an hour before, or 2+ hours after meals if at all possible.

I was prescribed Clindamycin and chemist told me to drink lots and lots of water with each one to avoid stomach problems.

I don't think they work as well if you take them after food, they don't get absorbed as well. I often have antibiotics for skin infections, that have to be taken before food, so I have one before breakfast, dinner and tea and one at bedtime. Are you taking Flucloxacillin? If so I find they don't irritate my stomach at all
