ds sent home from nursery - that has had chickenpox outbreak.
He was off his food with sticky eyes and sore throast the past 2 days
He has a rash on his back and arms - which I thought was just cos he was run down. But there are no actual 'spots', just this light rash all over.

DS1 just had it - it was very distinct little red dots, that quickly developed (over a few hours) into little blisters. Mainly on his back and tummy, some in his hair. He had no temperature.

not sure if that helps you or not.

My ds has them and yes they did appear very quickly. When i called the nursery to make them aware i was told that most of the children there have them Shock

doesn't sound like chickenpox to me, just a viral rash?

Ds just had a nasty bout of chickenpox - it didn't look like a rash though just hundreds of little blisters that grew into big blisters and then scabs - lovely!

tracyk · 14/06/2006 15:03

still no blisters - just a blotchy rash.

My dd is just getting over chickenpox she had a fever on the Thursday night and the spots didn't come out until Saturday afternoon.

ProfYaffle · 14/06/2006 15:23

ds has chickenpox. He's been off colour since the weekend and had a slight temp last night. Spots since this morning but no other rash.
I think dd is getting it too - she has slight temp and one spot on arm.

tracyk · 14/06/2006 17:19

he's been sleeping since 2.45pm and still asleep!
