ARRRGH! Stinking Headache. Not a migraine. Pray it's not a migraine!

Light hurts, but funnily enough light from the computer seems ok. But it's only come on in last 30 mins so that might well change.

Head has started fucking hurting, I feel sick, sinuses are throbbing, funny taste in my mouth, jaw hurts, face hurts, teeth hurt, cheekbones hurt.

ARGH. Please pray it's not a migraine! I'm taking children out with DD's school friend tomorrow!

I think I might actually throw up

Just reduced the brightness from the computer, that's better.

It's fucking it down outside. Maybe we are due a storm? Does anyone else get 'storm headaches'? It could be that...

Down water

Put painkillers & more water by bed

Go to bed

2 paracetamol, 2 ibuprofen and a can of coke/cup of coffee, followed by bed.

Evidence shows that the caffeine helps, especially if carbonated (ie. coke).

That's presuming that you don't have proper migraine meds.

no ibruprofen. Will napraxen work ok? (used for back problems, not taken for a couple of days).

No coke in the house. Coffee involves making one...not sure I can do that!

No migraine meds. I get real, proper, 3 day migraines once in a blue moon. Often it starts with being blinded sided by headache within minutes being sick. This feels the same but slower.

yes, it's a NSAID and research trials have found it effective. Just make sure you don't take any other NSAID (e.g. aspirin) alongside it, and that you only take it at the prescribed dose.

If you've got any soluble Asprin and have not taken the Naproxen, take 3. My GP said 3 soluble Asprin is as effective as Triptans for migraine. I find they work best dissolved in coke, but you've not got that.

If you've got Paracetoml and Codiene I'd give it an hour after taking whatever you take now and take them too.

Put an ice pack/cold flannel on your head and go to bed.

I get terrible migraines, I am off to see another specialist in a couple of weeks about Botox.

Hope it eases soon.

Got up this morning, feeling rough but not as bad as I thought, ie, at least I could get up! Had medicine and coffee, then promptly threw it all up Today is going to be a long, painful day. I will go and get some aspirin in a bit and when I can next take a dose of medicine I will get some and also some coke, give that a try. Thanks for suggestions.
