i have been up all night shivering and coughing and generally feeling crap(sorry!)I kept my dp awake too and he has gone to work like a zombie.He says he is going to get me benilyn the drowsy stuff to take tonight as all my natural cures have been useless.I have never taken it before does anyone know if it makes you v sleepy in the morning

For me, no more so than usual (seriously). Is he getting Benylin Cough and Congestion? That's what I use, specifically to knock me out at night if I have a bad cold/cough. The effect doesn't seem to last that long - I often wake after about 4 hours and take another dose to knock me out again.

No, in fact, the opposite. You will hopefully have had a good night's sleep because of it and wake up a bit refreshed in the morning.

You'll be fine noddy. Take a paracetomal or nurofen too, you will sleep better.

Poor you, noddy5. I wonder if that's why your breathing was bad on your school walk the other morning?

I've got a lurgy too. So has dd. Yuck. Hope you feel better soon. I've never taken benilyn so no advice there I'm afraid.

My DS has those same symptons but has had it for a while now, took him drs yesterday and found out he has a chest infection. His temperature reached 102.
Maybe a trip to the drs would be a good idea?
