Anyone caught hand foot and mouth off their dc?

Dd had it last week. 2 days of temperature and off food and spots on her chin. She is now fully recovered but I have a sore throat and a mouth full if ulcers. Yuck!

I wasn't aware that adults could even get it?

I did! It wasn't pleasant when I got the mouth full of ulcers. I got a mouthwash called aloclair (I think!) which tasted foul but really soothed the pain. I hope that helps a wee bit!

Yes I caught it, I don't remember feeling ill, but very hot and the soles of my feet and my palms were excruciatingly itchy! The mouth ulcers weren't as bad as normal mouth ulcers I didn't think. It didn't last long, only about 24-36 hours.

I did - the mouth ulcers lasted several weeks and kept disappearing and then reappearing elsewhere. Horrid. Whisky helped!
