Bleeding after sex and (birth related?) tear?

CBA to namechange so sorry if this is too grim, but here goes...

I started bleeding a fair bit after (v gentle) sex last week. Thought period had started early but on closer inspection no, it's coming from what looks like a small lump with a tear between vagina and perineum. I did have a tear here after childbirth, which apparently wasn't stitched very well and which took quite some time to stop hurting, but that was nearly 2 years ago now and all seemed well until now. It stings a lot.

Can v gentle sex really have reopened a childbirth injury from 2 years ago?? I am a bit terrified now because of the lump, which sort of feels like it should be on the inside, not the outside IYSWIM. Anyone have similar experience, words of wisdom or general reassurance?

Could be granulation tissue - tissue that has slightly over grown as a result of healing the tear? Unlikely sex would reopen the tear. But thus kind of tissue can be sore and bleed.

Yes - granulation tissue sounds possible, thanks! Is there anything that can be done for it?

Ok, have googled! Apparently it can be burnt off with silver nitrate. Sounds ghastly and painful. Has anyone had this done and can tell me it isn't as horrendous as it sounds? Right now never having sex again is looking like a good option.
