Hiya,
I've been wavering about this since ds2 was born 6 years ago - and now I've had ds3 and want no more children, I'm trying to get brave enough to get it fixed.
It's only small, but I know they don't get better on their own (though wondered about using the Tupler technique?) and I've found some info online that says you can have a local anaesthetic, which is a massive relief as I'm scared of having a GA and also am single so need to be 'with it' asap really.
I'm worried about the timing though. Ds3 is 6mo, I do a lot of lifting obviously of him, but also other stuff, and I drive a lot, and I'm thinking - should you defer it for a year or two till ds3 doesn't need to be picked up so much?
Or will this be ok? Last thing I want is a recurrence iyswim.
If anyone can share their experience of this op, I'd be hugely grateful. Of course they might say, no, don't have it, it's too small to worry (it's an umbilical one, basically an outie bellybutton, and not causing any issues at present - otherwise healthy-ish and have lost the baby weight so I'm about 9 stone)
Thankyou
