What should I do?

Wore new birkies to work today and didn't feel anything but walked quite a long way and now i have this sodding blister. I have never had one on the sole before!
Should I pop it and put a Compeed plaster on?

Someone recommened bonjella yesterday, havent tried it yet though!

You shouldn't really pop them as they are nature's cushioning. I would put a massive plaster on though!

CD whilst the blister is still intact the stuff inside is sterile. If you do pop it you must make sure it is clean first AND you get rid of all the loose skin as this is just a breeding ground for bacteria and cover with an antiseptic dressing.

Dont put bonjella on a blister especially a burst one

I like this thread. It has given us MNers a chance to use phrases like 'nature's cushioning' and 'a breeding ground for bacteria', which are just so quaint!

CD - I am in the exactly the same boat as you Sad. I wore my new Birkies the other day and now have the most painful hard blister on the sole of my foot, just under my heal [have never worn Birkies before or had a blister here, have you had problems like this before with Birkies? How have you treated your blister? I find it extremely painful to walk at the moment Sad
