Hi Its been happening on and off for a while, just a really sharp pain that lasts for a few mins and i find it hard to get a full breath while its happening. Its pretty scary and convinced myself its something awful (I'm good at that!) Could it just be indigestion? Reassurance needed please x

Go to the doctor tomorrow.

This can't be diagnosed over the internet.

I wasn't trying to worry you but a pain in the chest and difficulty breathing really needs to be checked out.

Good luck Smile

Dont worry because stress makes it worse.they may do an angigram to see whats going on.but it will depend on what your high risk factors are , for example, cholesterol, whether you smoke, your age etc.it can all be managed, but you need to know what your dealing with first.

Any word?

Hope you got a Drs appt today,
Bet they suggest You've pulled a muscle!
They might ask if you have been lifting anything heavy or been using that arm for anything constantly whilst gardening or swimming ect.

They may suggest anxiety & send you away, dont leave until they check it out properly.

Thanks

OP, what you describe sounds a lot like Precordial catch. I have been getting it since I was a little girl, about every few months, and it is really hard to breathe while it lasts. It's very sharp and painful, but harmless.

mandmsmummy · 22/07/2013 22:45

Hi all yes saw the doc and thinks its muscular! X
