Title says it all really. Am 47 and NHS. Think it will be a struggle though I am completely unable to work.

Have you contacted Occupational Health?

I helped a friend apply as she was very I'll at the time. initially she was turned down and the reason she was given was that none of her medical reports stated her condition was permanent. she spoke to her consultant and gp and explained the situation and when she appealed both had done additional reports stating permanent. she was told by someone in pensions that permanent was the magic word. no amount of reports mattered just that they stated permanent! she was NHS

Thanks that's v helpful. Did the whole thing take ages? Also was this pre ATOS?

There's no point in going to Occ Health as I am no longer employed. Being fired for ill health doesn't by any means qualify you for I'll health retirement .

Not looking forward to it. Having said that I was convinced I would be refused Blue Badge but got it straight away.
