this may seem silly but now the weather has improved i have got a red stripe where the parting of my hair is. I wondered if anyone could recommend some sun protection that i could apply without leaving my hair yucky with dried cream??? I have tried a hat but to be honest i look silly!

I'd get a spray on one. The finer the mist the easier it will be to apply.

I use a protective hairspray from Avon, called Bronze moisturising protective hairspray. On the back, it says it contains sunscreen.

boots did one (a spray) last year I think - it was specifically marketed as sun protection for scalps

I used it last year and it did work but I also wore a hat quite a bit.
