I've been told I have raised ferritin levels but my iron is normal

Could anyone explain this, googling is worrying me!

Could be - inflammation somewhere in your body (aka acute phase reaction) or haemochromatosis
if only a little bit up then most likely to be nothing at all.

Thanks the Dr was asking if I've had a virus. I've been having blood tests because of fatigue, joint and particulary muscle pains, hair loss etc. We ruled out thyroid.

I think I'm being a referral to rheumatology.
