Patches of skin feel burned when they are not

For the last couple of days I've had this weird thing where random bits of my skin feel burned (lightly toasted rather than full on pain) to the touch.

Last night it was my ring finger, running down the back of my hand and forearm and this morning that's a bit better but I have a new sensitive patch on my inner thigh.

I had some sort of virus last week with fluey symptoms and over the weekend developed blisters on my feet, so was thinking HFM (I have a DC at nursery so have the opportunity to catch it).

Does anyone know whether this skin sensitivity is linked? It's an annoyance and certainly manageable but is it the kind of thing I should see a GP about?
