hayfever remedies that don't cause eyes to be dry?

DH and I have dreadful hayfever atm. We are both taking loratadine but it has made DH's eyes feel incredibly dry over the weekend. He is going to stop taking that immediately.

Any thoughts as to what he CAN take? I have benadryl but that also causes dry eyes. I wonder if nasal sprays might work without causing dry eyes?

Treating hayfever is a nightmare, no 2 people are alike!

Nasal sprays tend to have fewer side effects, but I have personally found them to be less effective - worth a try though.

I use piriton in conjunction with a decongestant to control my symptoms, I seem to be one of the few for whom drowsiness is not a side effect - not other antihistamine has ever worked for me.
