I don't have this but I'd say call NHS direct for advice. I have no idea if this is normal for your condition or not but it's obviously concerning you. May be nothing at all but at least you'll know. Let us know how you get on, please.

I don't know about this with your condition, but ectopic beats (which is what this sensation is) are very common and harmless. Stress makes them worse!

3littlefrogs · 26/06/2013 06:38

I hope you have been to A and E for an ECG by now. If not, please at least get an emergency appointment with your GP this morning. You need a proper diagnosis and treatment. I don't think it is wise to diagnose heart problems without an ECG.

Hope you feel better soon.

Agree, if you are on tablets that can effect your heart rate, and it is stopping you sleep, then you need to get it checked out.

It is impossible to say whether or not it is 'harmless ectopics.'

My friend's husband had similar symptoms and was admitted as a day case for an ablation procedure which has been very successful. Tbh I can't believe you are asking for advice here rather than your GP or a&e. hope you get a thorough check very quickly.

I would call nhs direct or a&e can you take your own pulse? might be a good idea, noone will know what is going on without putting you on an ecg.
