Numbness in right leg, foot and hand- what should i do?

Woke this morning to find my hand was very numb on one side. Put it down to having slept on it. Within an hour of being at work, hand still numb and foot and leg also numb on same side. Still numb and a bit tingly, up past mid calf. Doesn't hurt, just a bit weird.

Any ideas? How long do I leave it before I go to the drs?

suppose your surgery is closed now. would give 111 a ring now and see what they say.

Sorry, not in UK- is 111 what replaced NHs direct?

Hand numbness is from the little finger down. No memory issues beyond the usual tired inability to think, no slurring. No pain as such.

Could call out of hours, GP closed, but feel fraudulent as no pain.

Can you lift both arms, recite the alphabet and count from 20 back to one? If you can't you need emergency medical care, now, don't wait. Otherwise i shold think this can wait until the surgery is open.

If you look at yourself in the mirror does your face look normal?

olivo · 18/06/2013 19:55

Sorry, yes, am able to do all of the above so hopefully not serious. Numbness is still there today so am going to get an appt with the GP.
