Bleeding nose/purple gum - connection?

Dd2 aged 11 months had minor nosebleed today from right nostril just above imminent tooth, the gum of which has gone purple. Are the two connected? Can anyone explain the purple gum? She has been a bit snotty, warm and miserable for a couple of days too.

if she is a bit snotty then nose bleed could be due to that. Lining of the nose has swollen an bled little. wouldnt think it is conected to the tooth. Maybe just coincidence. HTH
