How do I know if my breath smells / re wisdom teeth (sorry if a bit gross)

I have a wisdom tooth that is half way through. There are flaps of skin around it where food gets stuck and I am conscious that this is giving me bad breath, although hard to tell! How can I tell if it smells or I am just paranoid?!

I am making a real effort to keep it clean but I am now over-brushing my teeth so much they are getting very sensitive.

I don't really want to have the tooth out as really hate the dentist!!

Thanks in advance

Lock the inside of your wrist then smell it. Apparently if it smells bad, so does your breath.

Def get dentist apt sorted though. Maybe try a mouthwash after eating?
