Lump on roof of mouth!

Hi. Posted the other day about this lump I found on the roof of my mouth it's as if its a swelling around the bone at the. Back. Anyways the pain has lifted a lot since Friday and the redness has got smaller. Is that a good sign? If it was anything serious (like cancer) the redness would have gotten worse not better wouldn't it? Terrified may I add. Had a cold but in good health and 22

I've had this on the soft bit of the roof of my mouth when I had a cold - looked red and hurt particularly when swallowing. It went away completely after a few days and I never bothered to get it checked out.

I also once found a painless small lump on my hard pallette. I reported that one to my dentist and I was sent for a biopsy. It was a blocked saliva gland and nothing to worry about. The biopsy was pretty unpleasant though!

My advice would be to give it a few days and if you're still worried, go to the doctors or the dentist. If you're concerned it's cancer, you're probably low risk unless a very heavy drinker / smoker.

Ima smoker but. Certainly not heavy I have the odd one now and again. It's got better over the days just wish it would completely go now. I'm such a worrier and always worry about cancer!. But like I say the redness has faded so if it was cancer it wouldn't would it?
