Just joined up, hello all

Hello all, i have searched for ages looking for a site to chat about childs health for ages. My daughter has a condition called spherocytosis which is a blood dissorder. She is 4 and up until a few weeks ago was fine, but she got the parvo B19 virus and had to have a blood transfusion. Scary!! You know what its like, when your kids are ill you just want to talk to some one about it, a problem shared and all that. I am slowly reading through all the msgs on the board, so i can start chatting and getting to know you all. I only have Mondays off work, but i will still try and join in when i can. Anyway, just wanted to say a big HELLO!!!

Sorry to hear that your DD is poorly - I hope things get better soon - is it a permanant complaint??

Be careful as someone has already said you may get addicted.

Welcome to my social life Angelino.

Hope you little girl is Okay now after her blood tranfusion, knowing most 4 yr olds I bet you were more scared than she was.
I'm sure you'll find lots of people to chat to on here. I tend to waffle on a bit so just humour me!

Im back, just when i thought i was gonna be chatting away for hours, my mum decides to do a suprise visit! hours later and im back. Thanks for the warm welcome, as you may know robin, having a day off in the week is sacred and i like to have them to myself. I think i can get addicted to comming here though, i have been reading through some of the messages and it all looks really cool. and funny in places too! Thanks all for the concern about my little nipper its really kind of you all to wish her well. and it is right what emmatmg said, i thinks i was worse than she was. she was really brave. Her condition is a permanent thing unfortunatly, but she gets on with it all really well. Im gonna have to learn all the lingo, cos i only know how to type it all out the long way, so there will be some really long postings from me. What are the meet up things that were mentiones?
