Family party at the weekend with a hog roast...you can guess the rest. I've not left the toilet for two days Sad. I've got awful crampy guts and constant diarrhoea and feel awful. Plus I'm bfing 7 week old dd. is there anything I can take/do to speed recovery? I assume Imodium is off-limits due to the bf.

a probiotic suppliment to get your good digestive bacteria back on track. Keep yourself hydrated. I have found for digestive problems toast and crackers work well to help slow it down.

also visist your gP and get a sample sent off, I coudl be wrong but some food poisoning bugs can be helped by medicines.

Has anyone else been ill with it ?

could be a bug you caught there rather than poisoning?

hope you feel better soon

Grapefruit seed extract might help, used it to good effect when travelling. Tastes utterly vile, very very bitter but did trick.

Dry toast
Black, weak tea
Flat coke
Digestive biscuits
White food - plain rice, pasta, bread...
What's that revolting rehydration drink called? Dyrolite or something?
No dairy, or too much liquid.

Call the doctor! If you're taking any medication it's best to check of breastfeeding.

Did you vomit? I've found that if you don't, you feel so much worse.

Hope you feel better soon - food poisoning is the worst!
