because of the unavailability of the mumps vaccine?
When dd was young (now 5.5) she was given the measles and rubella but of course the mumps vaccine stopped. Over the years I've relaxed a little thinking that mumps is currently rare and less harmful to girls. I read something heartbreaking about a 6 year old who got mumps and ended up deaf and realised that I need to hurry up and make an informed decision.
My question is this: does the mmr jab pose the same risk re autism (for those that believe there's a link ) when given at aged 5+ as opposed to 18 months? Are they more resiliant over 5?
Hope this post doesnt offend anyone. Realise I'm clueless here.
thanks
