my ds 18 months is always thirsty he drinks cup after cup of drink including two big beakers during the night cos he is thirsty which of course is meaning excessive amounts of urine i have to even change his nappy twice in the night or the bed gets wet (i use pampers baby dry and easy ups so quite absorbant.all this weeing means he is quite sore.
im slighty worried about this should i be
do you think i should go to the doctors

I would go to the GP, just to be on the safe side.
Isn't excessive thirst one of the signs of diabetes? (I could be wrong on that though).
It will put your mind at rest if turns out to be nothing.

Gloworm yes, it is a sign of diabetes. Definitely worth a check IMO.

just spoke to health visitor as i bumped into her and she just said 'your lucky most children dont drink enough ' and that she dont think its a problem but i think i will book in to see gp
i have one of those gut feelings and i think they should be looked into
